I was born in Paris
(France). Married with two children, we call the World our home! We lived for
some time on our sailing boat, crossing the Atlantic Ocean, and settling down in
beautiful Martinique (French West Indies) where our first son was born. Three
years later, after a short stay in Paris to give birth to our second son, we
headed for a new life in Canada. Established in the Province of Quebec for seven
years, we spread our wings once again, and landed in Palm Beach County
(Florida), where we lived for over a decade.
Now, residing in Las Vegas (Nevada), a very special place
indeed, my life has become closely linked to Feng Shui.
The "Me" of today
was born over ten years ago when a friend of mine offered me "Feng Shui:
The Chinese Art of Placement" from Sarah Rossbach, then about the only
book available on the subject. Since I was already a firm believer in the fact
that we create our own reality, as well as being a trained Interior Designer,
this introduction to Feng Shui was a real blast! It didn't take me long to
revolutionize our home, and consequently our lives, precipitating a twist of
fate that sent us directly to the other side
of the country! Feng Shui triggered changes that were highly disturbing at the
time, but which also activated a personal growth that I could never have
achieved otherwise. Needless to say, I am now perfectly aware of all the Feng
Shui "mistakes" that I've made. But were they really? My belief is
that we cannot go wrong with Feng Shui, since we always apply it, consciously or
not, in a way that serves our best interests in the long run.
Some years ago, as I was on my way from the post office, where I had
just sent the manuscript of my first book (not related to Feng Shui) to my
publisher in France, I entered a book store, pondering on what I could be doing
next. I had absolutely nothing in mind and felt quite disoriented, when a book,
literally, toppled over my head. It was "The Western Guide to Feng
Shui", written by Terah Kathryn Collins. The very next day I called the
school that she had just created in San Diego; attended her classes shortly
thereafter and, one sunny day, became the proud holder of the school diploma,
which, by the way, is not that easy to get! Then, a year or so later, I was privileged
to translate "The Western Guide to Feng Shui" into French, and was
absolutely delighted to see it published in my country.
By that time, I was starting to really miss my family and friends in
France, and decided that the best way to see them more often would be to
establish myself as a writer and Feng Shui consultant over there as well. It
took me about a year to accomplish my goal. Now I am one of the best-selling
authors of Feng Shui in my country, with my book featured in the
"Book of the Month club".
Talk about the power of Feng Shui!
